Abigail Spanberger began her career in public service as a federal law enforcement officer for the U.S. Postal Inspection Service and later as a case officer with the Central Intelligence Agency. As a CIA officer, Abigail worked overseas and undercover on matters of national security ranging from nuclear nonproliferation to intelligence gathering to combatting terrorism. In 2018, Abigail was elected to Congress to represent VA-07 and, in her three terms since, has consistently been ranked as the most bipartisan Member of Congress from Virginia and one of the most bipartisan Members of Congress overall. 

In the 118th Congress, Abigail serves on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence where she is a powerful advocate for enhancing our national security, strengthening our global leadership, and supporting our allies and partners.
