Colin Allred, after a career in the NFL, pursued law, becoming a civil rights attorney. He served in the General Counsel’s office in the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development under Secretary Julián Castro in the Obama Administration, before returning home to Dallas to represent the district he grew up in. As a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, Allred has led efforts to strengthen democracy and human rights at home and abroad and support diplomacy-first foreign policy in the Middle East.
