Foreign Policy for America Endorses Zach Dembo for KY-06
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – April 14, 2026
WASHINGTON D.C. - Foreign Policy for America announced today its endorsement of Zach Dembo for KY-06.
“Zach Dembo embodies a commitment to country over politics. He served in the Navy, prosecuted corruption, and resigned when the justice system was abused,” said Andrew Albertson, Executive Director of Foreign Policy for America. “He understands that foreign policy decisions have real consequences here at home, from rising costs driven by the war in Iran to economic instability caused by this administration’s tariffs. Zach has consistently stood up for American values and will champion a foreign policy that keeps our country secure while putting working families first. This is why we’re proud to support his campaign.”
“I’m honored to announce that my campaign has received an endorsement from Foreign Policy for America, an organization of former ambassadors, senior appointees, and business leaders dedicated to ensuring we have principled and responsible U.S. diplomatic leadership in the world. This endorsement couldn’t come at a more important time. From our disastrous War of Choice in Iran, to our abandonment of our allies, to playing right into the hands of adversaries like Russia and China, we’re in a scary moment for our country and for our world. As a former uniformed lawyer - and the only veteran in this race - I’m committed to do everything in my power to make sure Congress does its job and brings common sense back to our foreign policy,” said Zach Dembo.
Zach is a former U.S. Navy Judge Advocate General’s Corps officer and federal civil rights prosecutor who has dedicated his career to public service and defending the Constitution. Raised in Lexington, Zach later joined Teach for America, teaching eighth-grade English in the Mississippi Delta. He went on to earn his law degree from the University of Michigan and was commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Navy JAG Corps, where he served more than four years on active duty providing legal counsel to military commands and service members. Following his military service, he joined the U.S. Department of Justice Civil Rights Division as a federal prosecutor, traveling the country to enforce civil and constitutional rights. In 2020, he returned to Kentucky to serve as a policy advisor and later legislative director for Governor Andy Beshear. Most recently, he served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in Lexington, prosecuting federal crimes in his hometown, before resigning in response to the increasing politicization of the Justice Department.
Zach joins other FP4A endorsed candidates: Rep. Chris Deluzio (PA-17), JoAnna Mendoza (AZ-06), Christina Bohannan (IA-01), Bridget Brink (MI-07), Eric Chung (MI-10), Rep. Chris Pappas (NH-Sen), Bayly Winder (NE-02), Rebecca Bennett (NJ-07), Rep. Yassamin Ansari (AZ-03), Rep. Don Beyer (VA-08), Rep. Gil Cisneros (CA-31), Rep. Veronica Escobar (TX-16), Rep.
