Foreign Policy for America Endorses Tom Malinowski in NJ-11 Special Election

WASHINGTON D.C. - Foreign Policy for America has endorsed Tom Malinowski in the special election for Mikie Sherrill’s soon-to-be-vacant seat in New Jersey’s 11th Congressional District. 

“Few leaders understand the stakes for American democracy at home and abroad like Tom Malinowski. At a moment when authoritarian regimes are growing bolder and our alliances are being tested, Tom brings the moral clarity, expertise, and courage that this moment demands,” said Andrew Albertson, Executive Director of Foreign Policy for America. “Tom understands both the promise and the responsibility of American leadership, and we need his voice back in Congress.” 

Malinowski has spent his career advancing American values and protecting national security. As Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor in the Obama administration, he led U.S. efforts to support democratic movements, hold dictators accountable, and defend fundamental freedoms. During his previous time representing New Jersey in Congress, he championed principled American engagement in the world, stood as a vocal defender of Ukraine and our democratic allies, and led bipartisan efforts to counter foreign interference and safeguard U.S. democratic institutions.
