Foreign Policy for America Endorses Sen. Tammy Baldwin (WI) for Re-election

 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - October 31, 2023

WASHINGTON D.C. - Foreign Policy for America announced today its endorsement of Senator Tammy Baldwin for re-election to the U.S. Senate. Senator Baldwin is the incumbent candidate and was first elected to the U.S. Senate in 2012.

“Tammy Baldwin exemplifies the kind of thoughtful, effective, and principled leadership that we all want in the U.S. Senate. She cares deeply about Wisconsin families, and you can see it in the way she goes to work for them every day,” said Andrew Albertson, Executive Director of Foreign Policy for America. “Tammy recognizes the power and importance of U.S. diplomatic efforts to keep our nation and our troops safe. She’s delivered foreign aid to strengthen export markets for Wisconsin producers. At a time when Washington seems consumed by chaos and partisanship, Tammy has worked tirelessly and effectively across the aisle to get things done. We’re very proud to endorse her for re-election and we look forward to many more years of her incredible leadership in the Senate.”

“I’m so proud to receive the endorsement of Foreign Policy for America, an organization that works tirelessly to help elect public servants who prioritize American values, diplomacy, and national security,” said Tammy Baldwin. “I will always put the safety of Wisconsinites and the American people first.”

Prior to entering the U.S. Senate, Senator Baldwin served seven terms in the U.S. House of Representatives and three terms in the Wisconsin State Assembly. Senator Baldwin currently serves on the Senate Appropriations Committee, where she is the Chair of the Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, as well as the full Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee, and the Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee. Throughout her time in the Senate, Senator Baldwin’s top priorities have included safeguarding U.S. manufacturing and technology industries from foreign interference and intellectual property theft, increasing foreign aid and investment in critical regions, and revoking Authorizations for the Use of Military Force to end America’s “forever wars.”

Senator Baldwin joins other FP4A-endorsed candidates: Rep. Elissa Slotkin (MI-Sen), Rep. Colin Allred (TX-Sen), Rep. Andy Kim (NJ-Sen), Rep. Susan Wild (PA-07), Rep. Abigail Spanberger (VA-07), Rep. Lauren Underwood (IL-14), Rep. Veronica Escobar (TX-16), Rep. Jake Auchincloss (MA-04), Rep. Mikie Sherrill (NJ-11), Rep. Chrissy Houlahan (PA-06), and Will Rollins (CA-41). Our endorsed candidates are chosen because of their consistent leadership in favor of diplomacy-first foreign policy.
