 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - August 13, 2020

WASHINGTON D.C. - Foreign Policy for America announced today its endorsement of Susan Wild for re-election. As a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee and Vice Chair of the Subcommittee on Africa, Global Health, Global Human Rights, and International Organizations, Representative Wild is running to represent Pennsylvania for a second term in the U.S. House of Representatives.

“Susan Wild has been a powerful voice already in her first term in Congress.” said Andrew Albertson, Executive Director of Foreign Policy for America. “As a champion for gender equality and human rights around the world, she was selected by her peers to be Vice Chair of the Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Africa, Global Health, Global Human Rights, and International Organizations. She’s also demonstrated an ability to work across the aisle to get things done. For all these reasons and more, we’re proud to support Representative Wild for re-election.”

Rep. Wild began her career as an attorney and started her own legal practice, before becoming the first female Allentown City Solicitor. In 2018, she became the first woman to represent Pennsylvania’s 7th district in Congress. As a first term Member in the House, she’s used her voice on the Foreign Affairs Committee to advocate for diplomatic solutions that uphold human rights and equality abroad.
