Foreign Policy for America Endorses Sima Ladjevardian (TX-02) for Election

Attorney activist endorsed by nonpartisan Foreign Policy for America

WASHINGTON D.C. - Foreign Policy for America announced today its endorsement of Sima Ladjevardian for election. As an attorney, mediator, political activist, and immigrant, Ladjevardian is bringing her unique perspective to her run to represent Texas’s 2nd district in the U.S. House of Representatives.

That’s why we’re so proud to endorse her for Congress.”  

Ladjevardian is a Houston-based attorney who has been an active force for progressive causes in her community. Her family fled Iran due to political upheaval, and as an immigrant herself, she’s worked tirelessly to ensure the voices of immigrant groups are heard. Involved in numerous other political and non-profit causes, Ladjevardian went on to serve as Senior Advisor and Campaign Finance Liaison for Beto O’Rourke’s 2018 Senate campaign, and eventually his presidential run. As a first-term Member of Congress, Ladjevardian hopes to serve on the Foreign Affairs Committee.
