Foreign Policy for America Endorses Sarah Klee Hood (NY-22) for Election

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - November 2, 2023

WASHINGTON D.C. - Foreign Policy for America announced today its endorsement of Sarah Klee Hood for election to the U.S. Congress as the Representative from New York’s 22nd Congressional District. Klee Hood is a U.S. Air Force Veteran and an elected Councilor in the town of DeWitt, New York.

“Throughout her service in the U.S. Air Force, the environmental tech sector, and local politics, Sarah has seen firsthand the importance of strong, principled U.S. leadership in the world,” said Andrew Albertson, Executive Director of Foreign Policy for America. “She won’t get caught up in the politics and showboating that dominate the headlines—she's going to show up, work hard, and do right by her constituents and our country. That’s why we’re proud to endorse Sarah for Congress.”

"Whether in the Air Force, on Town Council or as a working Mom, I've always cared more about solving problems and getting things done than about political grandstanding,” said Sarah Klee Hood. “I know that Foreign Policy for America feels similarly - that's why I'm honored to have their support."

Sarah Klee Hood is a U.S. Air Force Veteran with experience leading 140 personnel, managing a budget of $25 million, and contributing to federal-level policies. After leaving the Air Force, Klee Hood worked as a technical software program manager leading an international team of engineers. More recently, she has served as a senior director of operations responsible for environmental policy initiatives at the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority and the U.S. Department of Energy, supporting the climate tech small businesses that help create local jobs while addressing climate change. In Congress, Klee Hood will be a champion for investing in sustainable technology and U.S. energy independence, strengthening America’s international and multilateral partnerships, and humanitarian immigration reform.

Klee Hood joins other FP4A endorsed candidates: Sen. Tammy Baldwin (WI-Sen), Rep. Elissa Slotkin (MI-Sen), Rep. Colin Allred (TX-Sen), Rep. Andy Kim (NJ-Sen), Rep. Susan Wild (PA-07), Rep.
