Foreign Policy for America Endorses
Quaye Quartey (CA-27) for Election

U.S. Navy Veteran and Intelligence Officer endorsed by nonpartisan Foreign Policy for America

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Thursday April 21, 2022

WASHINGTON D.C. - Foreign Policy for America announced today its endorsement of Quaye Quartey for election to California’s 27th congressional district. After serving two decades of active-duty military service in the U.S. Navy, Quartey returned home to California and is now running to continue his service in Congress.

“Quaye Quartey would be a tremendous addition to Congress. Having served for 20 years as a Naval intelligence officer, Quaye knows firsthand the power and importance of American leadership,” said Andrew Albertson, Executive Director of Foreign Policy for America. “In this difficult time, Quaye understands the challenges we face at home and abroad, and we commend him for his continued commitment to serving his country – this time in Congress. We need more leaders like Quaye, with genuine national security experience, in Congress, and we're going to do everything we can to help him win.”

Quaye Quartey is the son of an immigrant, a U.S. Navy veteran, an entrepreneur, and a proud husband and father. After graduating from the U.S. Naval Academy, Quartey served in combat in Kosovo and Iraq while also supporting counterterrorism and cyberwarfare operations around the globe. He led intelligence operations on five continents before serving as a military diplomat in France and Central Africa. Quartey retired after two decades of active-duty military service at the rank of Commander. He returned to California where he earned his master's degree in Business Management at Stanford University and founded a small business.

Quartey joins other FP4A endorsed candidates: Rep. Colin Allred (TX-32), Sen. Michael Bennet (CO-Sen), Rep. Jason Crow (CO-06), Rep. Val Demings (FL-Sen), Lt. Gov. Molly Gray (VT-AL), Rep.
