Foreign Policy for America Endorses Nancy Lacore for SC-01
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – August 19, 2026
WASHINGTON D.C. - Foreign Policy for America announced today its endorsement of Nancy Lacore for election to Congress as the next Representative from South Carolina’s 1st Congressional District.
"Nancy Lacore has dedicated her life to serving this country, from flying Navy helicopters to leading more than 60,000 sailors as Chief of Navy Reserve," said Andrew Albertson, Executive Director of Foreign Policy for America. "She knows the cost of conflict, and she understands where that cost lands: on Lowcountry families. Nancy spent 35 years earning the kind of judgment this moment demands. We're proud to support Nancy's campaign.”
“I’m proud to have Foreign Policy for America’s support,” said Nancy Lacore. “Our foreign policy decisions have serious consequences right here in the Lowcountry: for our veterans and military families, our economy, and the cost of living for families across the district. In Congress, I’ll fight for a strong, secure America and make sure the people we serve are always at the center of the decisions we make.”
Nancy Lacore is a retired Navy Vice Admiral who served 35 years in uniform, beginning as a helicopter pilot and rising to three-star admiral and Chief of Navy Reserve, where she led more than 60,000 sailors worldwide. She took command of Camp Lemonnier in Djibouti, served as chief of staff for U.S. Naval Forces Europe and Africa and vice commander of the U.S. Sixth Fleet, and deployed to Kabul as chief of key leader engagement. She was removed from her post in August 2025 without explanation. Now, Lacore is running to represent South Carolina’s 1st Congressional District, to keep American troops out of another ground war and to fight for the Lowcountry families and servicemembers who call it home.
Nancy joins other FP4A endorsed candidates: Rep. Gabe Amo (RI-01), Rep. Yassamin Ansari (AZ-03), Chris Backemeyer (NE-01), Rebecca Bennett (NJ-07), Rep.
