 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE — April 19, 2022

WASHINGTON D.C. — Foreign Policy for America announced today its endorsement of Lieutenant Governor Molly Gray for election to Vermont’s at-large congressional district. After serving Vermont as Assistant Attorney General and now as Lieutenant Governor, Gray is running to continue her service in the U.S. House of Representatives.

“Once again, Lieutenant Governor Molly Gray is stepping up to serve, this time in the U.S. House of Representatives, and we couldn’t be more proud to support her,” said Andrew Albertson, Executive Director of Foreign Policy for America. “Molly’s done the work. She has the experience. She has the values. She’s ready to carry on the work of Senator Patrick Leahy and Congressman Peter Welch– leaders who understand America’s place in the world. Molly knows firsthand the power of principled American foreign policy to deliver benefits at home and abroad. And we know she’ll hit the ground running in Congress as a next generation voice for Vermont communities. That’s why we’re so proud to endorse her.”

Prior to her election as Vermont’s 82nd Lieutenant Governor, Gray served as Assistant Attorney General of Vermont while teaching classes as adjunct faculty at Vermont Law School. Throughout her career, Gray has worked on issues of human rights including as a Congressional Affairs Associate for the International Committee of the Red Cross and later as a Law and Policy Manager for the International Code of Conduct Association. In 2006, Gray worked on Peter Welch’s election campaign and after as a Congressional Aide in Congress. She is now running to succeed Congressman Welch in Congress.
