Prior to Congress, Mikie Sherrill served nearly a decade on active duty as a Navy Sea King Helicopter pilot, flying missions throughout Europe and the Middle East and serving as a Russian policy officer. After leaving the Navy, Sherrill attended law school and ultimately joined the U.S. Attorney’s Office in New Jersey. As a member of the House Armed Services Committee, Sherrill has consistently advocated for responsible U.S. engagement with the world including strong U.S. diplomacy and support for democracy and human rights abroad.
