Foreign Policy for America Endorses Jessica Killin for Colorado's 5th Congressional District

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – September 4, 2026

WASHINGTON D.C. - Foreign Policy for America announced today its endorsement of Jessica Killin for election to Congress as the next Representative from Colorado's 5th Congressional District.

"Jessica Killin is made of the right stuff and has exactly the kind of experience we need right now in Washington," said Andrew Albertson, Executive Director of Foreign Policy for America. "She served eight years in the U.S. Army as a Captain in the Military Police Corps, leading soldiers overseas on peacekeeping missions in the Balkans, and then spent a decade protecting military families back here at home. She knows the costs of war, and we know she'll walk into Congress Day 1 ready to lead. We're proud to support her."

Army Veteran Jessica Killin said, “I’m honored to receive Foreign Policy for America’s endorsement. During my time in the Army overseas, I saw firsthand the importance of our alliances, soft power and diplomacy. Our allies make America stronger and our country more secure and safe. We cannot take those relationships for granted. As a member of Congress, I will work to strengthen our alliances, stand with our partners, and ensure America leads with strength, integrity, and respect.”

Jessica Killin is a fourth-generation Coloradan, raised in Colorado Springs by two public school educators. She earned an ROTC scholarship out of Falcon High School and served as a Captain in the U.S. Army, leading soldiers overseas as a Military Police Officer on peacekeeping deployments in the Balkans and NATO-expansion missions in Europe. After earning her law degree from Georgetown, she spent more than a decade as an executive at USAA, protecting military families and veterans from predatory lending during the 2008 financial crisis and streamlining VA home loan processing. She went on to serve as Chief of Staff in Congress, then to the Second Gentleman. Now, Killin is running to represent Colorado's 5th Congressional District, where more than 15 percent of residents are veterans, and to make sure the families who carry the weight of America's decisions abroad are not the last ones considered when those decisions get made.

Jessica joins other FP4A endorsed candidates: Rep. Gabe Amo (RI-01), Rep. Yassamin Ansari (AZ-03), Chris Backemeyer (NE-01), Rebecca Bennett (NJ-07), Rep.
