Foreign Policy for America Endorses James Talarico for Senate

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – May 26, 2026

WASHINGTON D.C. - Foreign Policy for America announced today its endorsement of James Talarico for the Texas Senate seat.

“James Talarico understands that reckless foreign policy decisions and endless wars come at a real cost to working families here at home. He’s the kind of principled leader we need in this moment to stand up to President Trump and help bring this costly war to an end,” said Andrew Albertson, Executive Director of Foreign Policy for America. “James brings a rare combination of moral clarity, compassion, and thoughtful leadership to public service. Guided by his faith, James has been a consistent champion for the values that make America great,”

James Talarico is a teacher, theologian, and Texas State Representative who has built his career around public service and moral leadership. Raised by a single mother in Central Texas, James attended public schools before earning degrees from The University of Texas at Austin and Harvard Divinity School. He later taught middle school, where he saw firsthand how inequality and underinvestment impact working families and shape the future of American democracy. Elected to the Texas House in 2018, James has become a leading voice for public education, voting rights, economic justice, and democratic accountability. Now, he’s running for U.S. Senate to take his fight against corruption to Washington, win power back for working people, and restore American credibility in the world. James will fight for our values, not the interests of the powerful few.

James joins other FP4A endorsed candidates: Rep. Chris Deluzio (PA-17), JoAnna Mendoza (AZ-06), Christina Bohannan (IA-01), Bridget Brink (MI-07), Eric Chung (MI-10), Rep.
