Foreign Policy for America Endorses Eric Chung for MI-10
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – December 23, 2025
WASHINGTON D.C. - Foreign Policy for America announced today its endorsement of Eric Chung as the next Representative for Michigan’s 10th Congressional District.
“Eric represents the next generation of leaders who recognize that America’s global strength starts with smart investments at home,” said Andrew Albertson, Executive Director of Foreign Policy for America. “Through his work implementing the CHIPS and Science Act, Eric strengthened U.S. supply chains, helped create good-paying jobs, and advanced America’s global competitiveness. He brings the experience and vision we need to keep our country secure and competitive in a rapidly changing world. We’re proud to endorse Eric Chung for Congress.”
“I am honored to be endorsed by Foreign Policy for America, an organization led by more than fifty distinguished diplomats, veterans, and national security professionals who have dedicated their lives to protecting our country,” Eric said. “Michigan workers know that when the United States demonstrates leadership abroad, our economy and security benefit here at home. That’s why I went to the Commerce Department, where I worked to extend America’s technological edge and bring jobs and manufacturing back to Michigan. I am committed to upholding our national security, protecting our workers, and ensuring that our businesses can compete and thrive in global markets.”
Eric Chung grew up in Macomb and Oakland County as a son of an auto worker and immigrants from Vietnam. Eric graduated from Michigan public schools, became the first in his high school to go to Harvard College and Yale Law School, and served for the past two years in the Commerce Department as a senior lawyer implementing the CHIPS and Science Act after the chips shortage derailed the state’s automotive industry. He was previously a public policy lawyer at Covington and also served as a special counsel for Senator Dick Durbin and the Senate Judiciary Committee to assist with the confirmation process of Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court. Eric saw firsthand and did not want to stand by as this administration's self-destructive policies, including substituting the bipartisan national security program he worked on with reckless tariffs, hit Michigan communities and families hard.
Eric joins other FP4A endorsed candidates: Rep. Chris Deluzio (PA-17), JoAnna Mendoza (AZ-06), Tom Malinowski (NJ-11), Christina Bohannan (IA-01), and Bridget Brink (MI-07). Our endorsed candidates are chosen because of their consistent leadership in favor of a diplomacy-first foreign policy.
Foreign Policy for America is a nonpartisan advocacy organization working to strengthen support for principled American engagement in the world. We support policies that keep Americans safe and out of conflicts, advance prosperity for all, and are true to our country’s highest values.
