Foreign Policy for America Endorses Representative Elissa Slotkin (MI-08) for Re-Election

WASHINGTON D.C. - Foreign Policy for America Action Network announced today its endorsement of Representative Elissa Slotkin for re-election. As a leading voice on the House Armed Services Committee, Representative Slotkin is running to represent Michigan for a second term in the U.S. House of Representatives.
“Elissa Slotkin has spent her career defending our country – first in the CIA, then as a senior policymaker at the Pentagon, and now in Congress,” said Andrew Albertson, treasurer of Foreign Policy for America Action Network. “At a time when the Trump Administration has damaged our alliances and weakened America’s standing around the world, she is exactly the kind of no-nonsense patriot our country needs more of in Washington.”

Prior to Congress, Slotkin served as a Middle East analyst with the Central Intelligence Agency and as Acting Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Affairs. As a first term Member of Congress serving on the House Armed Services Committee, As a first term Member of Congress serving on the House Armed Services Committee, Slotkin has led efforts to strengthen our national security, bolster American alliances, and maintain America’s openness to Dreamers and refugees fleeing disasters at home.
Slotkin is one of Foreign Policy for America Action Network’s first five House endorsements, all announced today, along with Rep. Abigail Spanberger (VA-7), Rep. Andy Kim (NJ-3), Rep. Tom Malinowski (NJ-7), and Rep. Jason Crow (CO-6). The organization previously endorsed two Senate candidates in the 2020 cycle: Senator Jeanne Shaheen, running for re-election in New Hampshire, and former ambassador Dan Baer, running for Senate in Colorado. Foreign Policy for America Action Network also endorsed Slotkin in her successful run for Congress in 2018.
