Foreign Policy for America Endorses Denise Powell for Election in NE-02

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - June 25, 2026

WASHINGTON D.C. - Foreign Policy for America announced today its endorsement of Denise Powell for election to Congress as the next Representative from Nebraska’s Second Congressional District.

“Denise Powell has spent her career fighting for people who too often go unheard. As a global communications leader and the daughter of Cuban and Chilean immigrants, she understands that America is strongest when we lead with our values," said Andrew Albertson, Executive Director of Foreign Policy for America. "Denise is exactly the candidate NE-02 needs. She knows that foreign policy decisions have real consequences in Nebraska, affecting everything from the cost of living to the ability of Nebraska farmers to sell their products around the world. We’re proud to support Denise’s campaign.”

“I am so proud to have earned the support of Foreign Policy for America. Protecting the safety and economic strength of the United States is imperative,” said Denise Powell. In Congress, I hope to help navigate a challenging global marketplace and repair strained relationships with key allies to deliver lower costs for Nebraska's hardworking families and more opportunity for our businesses and farmers."

Denise Powell is a small business owner, healthcare advocate, and the daughter of Cuban and Chilean immigrants. She later co-founded Women Who Run Nebraska, which recruits and supports women running for office, and has served on the boards of organizations serving immigrants, refugees, and survivors of trafficking. Now, Powell is running to represent Nebraska's 2nd Congressional District, to restore America's standing in the world and deliver for the families of Omaha.
