Foreign Policy for America Endorses Sen. Bob Casey (PA) for Re-Election

Pennsylvania Senator endorsed by nonpartisan Foreign Policy for America

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - January 25, 2024

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Foreign Policy for America announced today its endorsement of Pennsylvania Senator Bob Casey Jr. for re-election to the U.S. Senate. Senator Casey is the incumbent candidate and was first elected to the U.S. Senate in 2006.

“Throughout his three terms, Senator Casey has been an unwavering advocate for some of the most important diplomatic tools of U.S. foreign policy. His leadership has been essential to strengthening our relationships with our allies, empowering U.S. industries and workers to compete globally, and sustaining our foreign aid commitments and obligations to combat global hunger and poverty,” said Andrew Albertson, Executive Director of Foreign Policy for America. “His steady, principled, and compassionate approach to these critical and complex issues exemplifies the type of leadership we need in the U.S. Senate. That’s why we’re proud to endorse him for re-election in 2024.”

Prior to entering the Senate, Senator Casey served as Pennsylvania's Auditor General and State Treasurer. He is the first Democratic Senator from Pennsylvania to be elected to three consecutive terms in the U.S. Senate. In the 118th Congress, Senator Casey serves as a Member of the Finance Committee, the Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee, and the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. He is also the Chairman of the Special Committee on Aging. Senator Casey previously served on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee from 2007-2013 and chaired its Middle East and South Asia Subcommittee for four years. During his tenure, Senator Casey's top priorities have included empowering U.S. workers and industries to compete globally, monitoring outbound investment and high-level technology transactions with China, and reauthorizing the Global Food Security Act.

Senator Casey joins other FP4A-endorsed candidates: Sen. Tammy Baldwin (WI-Sen), Rep. Elissa Slotkin (MI-Sen), Rep. Colin Allred (TX-Sen), Rep. Andy Kim (NJ-Sen), Rep. Susan Wild (PA-07), Rep.
