Foreign Policy for America Endorses Bridget Brink for MI-07
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – December 11, 2025
WASHINGTON D.C. - Foreign Policy for America announced today its endorsement of Ambassador Bridget Brink as the next Representative for Michigan’s 7th Congressional District.
“Ambassador Bridget Brink has dedicated her life to serving our country, defending American interests abroad,” said Andrew Albertson, Executive Director of Foreign Policy for America. “As a former ambassador, she knows the power of our NATO alliance. She has lived the core values that make our country strong and powerful around the world. She understands the need to stand up to authoritarians like Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping, rather than making concession after concession like this White House. And how leading with our values abroad helps create jobs and prosperity at home. We’re proud to endorse Ambassador Brink’s candidacy because we need her voice and expertise in Congress, now more than ever.”
“I am honored to receive Foreign Policy for America’s endorsement — and join its work to strengthen principled U.S. leadership," said Bridget Brink, former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine and Democrat running for Michigan’s Seventh Congressional District. “Leading with our values at home and abroad is what made America the strongest country on earth. I dedicated my life to fighting for freedom and democracy around the world, building coalitions that create jobs at home and protect and safeguard our way of life. I’m running for Congress to fight like hell to make life easier and more affordable for my community, bringing principled, battle-tested leadership to Washington to deliver for the people of mid-Michigan.”
Ambassador Brink is the former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine and Slovakia. She resigned as Ambassador to Ukraine to speak out against the Trump Administration’s reckless and chaotic policies. She spent nearly 30 years in the U.S. Foreign Service, serving under five Presidents, both Democratic and Republican, and was the first woman to serve as a U.S. Ambassador in a war zone. Ambassador Brink is now continuing her service by running for Congress to fight to lower costs, ensure affordable health care, and defend our democracy.
Ambassador Brink joins other FP4A endorsed candidates: Rep. Chris Deluzio (PA-17), JoAnna Mendoza (AZ-06), Tom Malinowski (NJ-11), and Christina Bohannan (IA-01). Our endorsed candidates are chosen because of their consistent leadership in favor of diplomacy-first foreign policy.
Foreign Policy for America is a nonpartisan advocacy organization working to strengthen support for principled American engagement in the world. We support policies that keep Americans safe and out of conflicts, advance prosperity for all, and are true to our country’s highest values.
