Senator tammy duckworth

Il, U.S. Senate

Tammy Duckworth has represented Illinois in the U.S. Senate since 2017, where she has advocated for supporting and protecting veterans. Prior to serving in the Senate, Duckworth represented Illinois’ 8th Congressional District, served in President Obama’s Administration as the Assistant Secretary for Public and Intergovernmental Affairs at the Department of Veterans Affairs, and served in combat in the Iraq war as a black hawk helicopter pilot. Along with fighting for veterans in the Senate, Duckworth co-founded the Environmental Justice Caucus.


Senator Alex padilla

CA, U.S. Senate

Alex Padilla has represented California in the U.S. Senate since 2021, where he has fought for comprehensive immigration reform and climate action. Padilla was appointed to the Senate to fill the vacancy of Vice President Kamala Harris. Prior to serving in the Senate, Padilla served as California’s 32nd Secretary of State. In the Senate, Padilla is Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Immigration, Citizenship, and Border Safety, leading efforts to strengthen the immigration system.


Senator Chris Van hollen

MD, U.S. Senate

Chris Van Hollen has represented Maryland in the U.S. Senate since 2017, where he is a fierce advocate for a smarter defense budget, a fully funded State Department, and USAID. Prior to serving in the Senate, Van Hollen represented Maryland’s 8th Congressional District and served in the Maryland State House. Van Hollen was born in Karachi, Pakistan, and is the son of a Foreign Service Officer. In the Senate, Van Hollen Chairs the Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee on Africa and Global Health Policy, helping combat COVID-19 and shape global health policies. 

 


REPRESENTATIVE COLIN ALLRED 

TX-32, U.S. HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES 

Colin Allred, after an NFL career, pursued a career in law, becoming a civil rights attorney. He served in the General Counsel’s office at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development under Secretary Julián Castro in the Obama administration, before returning home to Dallas to represent the district he grew up in. As a first-term Member of Congress serving on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, Allred has led efforts to build stronger trade agreements and provide emergency assistance in the border crisis.


REPRESENTATIVE Don beyer 

Va-08, U.S. HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES 

Don Beyer has represented Virginia in Congress since 2015. Prior to serving in Congress, Beyer chaired the Transportation and Land Use working group of Virginia’s Commission on Climate Change, served as U.S. Ambassador to Switzerland and Lichtenstein, and led the Virginia Economy Recovery Commission. In Congress, Beyer has been a leader in supporting service members and multilateral engagement with our allies.


REPRESENTATIVE Gerald connolly

va-11, U.S. HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

Gerry Connolly has represented Virginia in Congress since 2009, where he is a leading voice for reforming foreign aid programs and promoting democracy abroad. Prior to serving in Congress, Connolly served on the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors. In Congress, Connolly serves on the House Foreign Affairs Committee and as President of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly. Connolly is a leader in strengthening multilateral institutions and renewing cooperation with our European allies.


REPRESENTATIVE JASON CROW

CO-06, U.S. HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

Jason Crow served three combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, achieving the rank of Captain and being awarded a Bronze Star. Upon leaving military service, Crow joined the Colorado Board of Veterans Affairs to help veterans who suffer from homelessness and substance abuse. As a member of the House Armed Services Committee and the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, Crow is leading robust action against combat climate change as well as efforts to strengthen all the tools of American power – diplomatic, developmental, and defense – to advance our values and interests around the world.


REPRESENTATIVE Veronica Escobar

TX-16, U.S. HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

Veronica Escobar has represented Texas in Congress since 2019, where she has been a leader in immigration reform and border security. Prior to Congress, Escobar served as a County Commissioner and County Judge for El Paso County. In Congress, Escobar serves as Vice Chair of the House Armed Services Committee on Military Personnel, leading efforts to oversee the well-being of civilian personnel and military families. Escobar’s experience at the County level and as a representative of a border district with Mexico has made her a strong voice for strengthening our immigration system and tackling the root causes of migration from Central America.


REPresENTATIVE ruben gallego

az-03, U.S. HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

Ruben Gallego has represented Arizona in Congress since 2015, where he has been a fierce advocate for veterans and strengthening U.S. alliances. Gallego served in the Marine Corps and is an Iraq war combat veteran. After his tour, Gallego served in the Arizona House of Representatives. In Congress, Gallego serves on the House Armed Services Committee, House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs, and House Natural Resources Committee. Gallego’s experience as a Marine and veteran has made him a tireless advocate for supporting the veteran community and ensuring servicemembers are fully equipped for conflict.


REPresentative CHRISSy HOULAHAN

PA-06, U.S. House of Representatives

Chrissy Houlahan has a demonstrated record of leadership in the military as a Captain in the U.S. Air Force, in the private sector as a successful entrepreneur, and now as a champion for diplomacy in Congress. A member of both the House Foreign Affairs and Armed Services Committees, Houlahan is committed to leading on vital foreign policy and national security challenges facing our country today.


JEFF JACKSON

NC-14, U.S. HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

Jackson is a State Senator, former district attorney, veteran, and JAG lawyer with the Army National Guard. He enlisted in the Army Reserves after 9/11 and is completing his 20th year of military service. Following his deployment to Afghanistan with Special Operations, Jackson attended law school at UNC-Chapel Hill and served as the assistant district attorney in Gaston County. In 2014, Jackson ran for the state legislature and was elected as the second-youngest senator in the state senate. 


REPresentative sara jacobs

cA-51, U.S. House of Representatives

Sara Jacobs has represented California in Congress since 2021. The youngest member of California’s delegation, Jacobs formerly served in policy positions at the State Department, UNICEF, and the United Nations. She is the Founder and former Chair of San Diego for Every Child. In Congress, Jacobs serves as the Vice Chair of the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on International Development, International Organizations, and Global Corporate Social Impact and a member of the House Armed Services Committee where she has advocated for a clean energy economy.


Representative ro khanna

CA-17, U.S. HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

Ro Khanna has represented California in Congress since 2017. The son of immigrants from India, Khanna was an attorney working on intellectual property issues before being appointed Deputy Assistant Secretary of Commerce during the Obama Administration. In Congress, Khanna Chairs the House Oversight and Government Reform Subcommittee on Environment, and is a member of the House Armed Services Committee. Khanna is the Co-Founder of the bipartisan Congressional War Powers Caucus where he leads efforts to reaffirm Congress’s constitutional authority in foreign policy.


Representative barbara lee

CA-17, U.S. HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

Barbara Lee has represented California in Congress since 1998 where she has been a champion for a diplomacy-first foreign policy. Lee was the only member of Congress to oppose the Authorization of the Use of Military Force (AUMF). In Congress, Lee serves as Chair of the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on State and Foreign Operations. Lee has been at the forefront of efforts to repeal the AUMF and proponent of re-asserting Congress’s role in matters of war and peace.


REPRESENTATIVE BETTY MCCOLLUM

MN-04, U.S. HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

Betty McCollum has served as the representative to Minnesota’s 4th district since 2000, when she became the second woman from Minnesota elected to the U.S. House of Representatives. As the co-chair of the Global Health Caucus, McCollum has championed legislation to improve maternal and child health, combat global hunger, and ensure the U.S. has the funding it needs to meet our global commitments, improve lives, and ensure stability around the world.


REPRESENTATIVE MIKIE SHERRILL

NJ-11, U.S. HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

Prior to Congress, Mikie Sherrill served nearly a decade on active duty as a Navy Sea King Helicopter pilot, flying missions throughout Europe and the Middle East and serving as a Russian policy officer. After leaving the Navy, Sherrill attended law school and ultimately joined the U.S. Attorney’s Office in New Jersey. As a member of the House Armed Services Committee, Sherrill has consistently advocated for responsible U.S. engagement with the world including strong U.S. diplomacy and support for democracy and human rights abroad.


REPRESENTATIVE Marilyn strickland

WA-10, U.S. HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

Marilyn Strickland has represented Washington State in Congress since 2021. Born in Seoul, Korea, Strickland previously served as Mayor of Tacoma, Washington, and President of the Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce. Strickland is one of the first Korean-American women to serve in Congress and the first African-American elected to Congress from Washington State. In Congress, Strickland serves on the House Armed Services Committee and House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee where she has advocated for improving benefits for veterans.
